“Exploring the Bukidnon”

Bukidnon, officially the Province of Bukidnon, is a landlocked province in the Philippines located in the Northern Mindanao region. Bukidnon is a part of Region 10. Its capital is the city of Malaybalay. The name “Bukidnon” means “highlander” or “mountain dweller”. The province is considered to be the food basket of the region, being the major producer of rice and corn. Products from plantations in the province also include pineapples, bananas and sugarcane. If you’re planning to go in Bukidnon, here are some itinerary plan that will help you to get there. First, you will start in Doroteo Jose LRT then you will go to EDSA LRT that is found in Manila. The fare is 15 to 30 pesos only. After you get in EDSA LRT you will ride in a bus going to NAIA Terminal 1 in Parañaque City, Manila. This only consist of 21 minutes and the fare is 16 to 23 pesos only. Next, after you get in NAIA Terminal 1 you will ride in a plane going to Cotabato and the travel hours is 1 hour and 45 minutes while the fare is 3,700 to 17,000 pesos. And the last is after you land in the Terminal Airport of Cotabato you will ride in a taxi going to Bukidnon. The travel hours is 3 hours and 35 minutes and the fare is 3,600 to 4,300.

My top two tourist destination I choose in Bukidnon that you should visit are the Dahilayan Forest Park and the Lake Apo.

Dahilayan Forest Park is one of the most popular attractions in Bukidnon. Located at the base of the Kitanglad Mountain Range, this is an ideal place to breathe in the cool, fresh air and enjoy nature. This park is more than just a place to relax but also a destination for adventure seekers as it offers a wide range of exciting outdoor rides and activities. You can try their famous Forest Luge (the first Mountain Luge ride in the Philippines), ATV and Buggy Trail Adventure, Treetop Adventure, Zorbit, Barrel Train, Bumper Boat, Hanging Bridge and a lot more. So if you’re planning to get in this place here are some tips I can share that will surely help you. First, let’s talk about how you can get there starting from Bukidnon. I will give you two options so it’s up to you what you preffer. The first one is if you preffer a solo travel, go to the Agora Bus Terminal/Market City and take a van to Brgy. Camp Philips, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. The fare is only 60 pesos. Once you’re in Camp Philips, take a habal-habal (motorcycle) ride to Dahilayan Adventure & Forest Park with the fare of 200 to 300 pesos per person. Prepare for a mask or handkerchief to cover and protect your nose from dust. Some portions of the route are dusty due to rough road. The second one is if you preffer a group travel, go to the Agora Bus Terminal/Market City and take a van directly to Dahilayan Forest Park. One way trip fare is 300 pesos each. But you have to wait for other passengers.

Next is here are some travel tips if you’re going to visit the Dahilayan Forest Park. My first tip is the weather in Dahilayan Forest Park is so cold so you have to bring your jacket (It’s like visiting Baguio or Tagaytay). Second is to better enjoy the scenic views and try all the rides, you have to spend at least 1 day in this park. Then last but not the least, if you can spend 2 days in Bukidnon, you can also try to visit the Dahilayan Adventure Park, where you can try the longest dual zipline in Asia (840 meters of pure speed and adrenaline).

Then if you want to spend more days in Dahilayan Forest Park you can now book book on their hotel. It is located at Brgy. Dahilayan, Manolo Fortich, Manolo Fortich agoda. The price is Php 3,000– 1 room, good for 4 persons.

My second and last recommended tourist destination in Bukidnon is the Lake Apo. Lake Apo is one of the cleanest in the region. Its placid emerald-tinged waters and surrounding trees create a relaxing and serene ambiance. No wonder why Lake Apo is awarded as the cleanest inland body of water in Northern Mindanao Region in the late 1990s, this destination is perfect for a much-needed digital detox. How to get there? First is from Valencia City Bus terminal, ride a tricycle to Panadero Bakeshoppe at Guinoyoran Road. Next is from Panadero Bakeshoppe at Guinuyoran Road, take a habal-habal direct to Lake Apo in Sitio Lawa, Guinuyoran, Valencia City. Travel time approx is 30 minutes, and the fare is P60 per head. Lake Apo is a place for retreat and digital detox.

No wi-fi signal here. Drop the gadgets and take in all the beautiful sights. So my only tip when you’re planning to get there is charge up all your cameras and phones. Bring power banks and extra batteries. Lake Apo is powered by solar panels; electricity is limited there. While there is often enough energy stored for adequate lighting at night, there may not be enough to power up your gadgets.

When it comes accommodations, the sleeping area is comfortable at Barn and Garage. There are three rooms (room 1 good for 4pax: 1 queen + 2 single beds; room 2 with double decks for 6pax; room 3 is good for 12 pax) with 2 common toilet and bath. They provide fresh linen, toiletries, and even slippers. They also have hot and lukewarm water and instant coffee readily available. Practically everything you ever need to have a comfortable stay.

In Lake Apo, the food is great; sleeping area is comfortable; there are tons of activities to do; and the environment is simply wonderful. It is the perfect place to unplug from the world and relax.

I choose this two place because I think this will help you to relax and can remove your stress temporarily. Bukidnon is not really a popular place to go when your looking for a tourist destination but for me it is not really bad to explore some places in your life because life is so short and the world is wide. The sooner you start exploring it, the better. So come on and let’s explore Bukidnon.

“Cloud 9”

Traveling is about enjoying the unique atmosphere that every place in the world has and it helps us opening our minds. We realize that there’s no one way to live life. Meeting people from other places always shows us that our world view isn’t the same as everyone else’s. And we return home with new inspirations and a memory of our beautiful adventure. So that’s why traveling is very interesting and adventurous activity in our life.

For me, of all the places I’ve already visited I will choose ‘Cloud 9’. Cloud 9 is located at Antipolo. Although this place was very familiar to all of us, I choose this place because I remembered the moment what I do here together with my friends and that moment was really amazing, funny, and unforgettable. We’re so very scared that time to try the hanging bridge. Seriously, it was really scary and nervous to walk on hanging bridge especially if you’re already in the middle because you might feel or think that you will fall down. That time, we’re shouting to much because hanging bridge is being shaky because of the heavy air.

After walking on hanging bridge, we spend our time in the cottage. It was night that time so we feel the cold breeze of the air hugging us. We took so many pictures as many as we can co’z for us that picture will serve as our memories in the future. That place is overlooking, so we spend our night looking on the different lightnings of the house and that was really beautiful. I feel so relaxed that time and I wish we can go back again in that place.

So, I am recommending y’all if you’re looking for a place co’z you need to relax, remove your stress and forget your problem in a while, I think this place is suitable for you. I am recommending also to all of you that if you go there you choose night because night is more relaxing than day. Proven and tested. If you go there you will have a peace of mind for yourself. Try my recommendation even if that place is very familiar to you. It was not really bad to come again in the place you’ve already visited.

During that time I know to myself that I travel not because I will find myself but because how I will escape myself. Traveling is only the first part. Allowing yourself to embrace new experiences is the other half. Let go and live. More travel to come co’z life is very short so enjoy every moment.

“Greatest Dream”

Dreams are the ultimate mystery in our life. They can’t be weighed or measured. Sometimes we really don’t know what our dreams in life because of some problem we can’t handle anymore. But that is a part of our life, sometimes it is bad and sometimes it is good. We pursue our greatest dream because of our family and for ourselves too. We use them to make us inspired in making our dreams come true. But we all know that family is not the only reason why we are pursuing our dreams, there are so many reasons too.

For me, aside from pursuing my study to finish it, my another greatest dream in my life is to become a member of a Rock band someday. In other words, I really want to build my own band in the future. I want to perform infront of so many people together with my bandmates. Performing our own created song, making the crowd very noise because people will sing us together and our instruments will lead us into happy and active performance. This are the goal that I want to do in the near future if I can have a band someday. For now all I can do is to dream, dream, dream. Dreaming that it can be happen soon. Our dreams can be possible soon if we pursue it.

For now, I am still studying and pursuing my course to survive it. I want to finish my study so that I can get a stable job and to give the needs of my family and also to paid back the sacrifices of my parents for me to finish this study. Always believe in yourself and your dreams will happen someday.

This is my greatest dream in my life. All I can say is I will do everything to make my dream come true someday. If it fail, it’s still okay for me atleast I do my best to make it happen because if it’s meant to you, it will meant to you and if not then it’s not.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
